ORPINGTON Ojays swimming sensation Joanne Mullins has returned from the World School Games in Shanghai, China, with three silver medals.

Her best performance was in the 100m breastroke, where she set a new personal best time of 1.12.02 to clinch second place. She was pipped by Chinese competitor Ly Wei who is more than 18 months her senior. Joanne's time broke Olympian Suki Brownsden's longstanding Kent junior record.

Joanne also finished second in the 200m behind Wei and picked up her third medal with a fine performance in the medley relay.
