THIS book bears a weighty title, but then it does happen to be written by the Prime Minister himself.
He aims here to mark the heroism of British men and women “who fought to overcome tyranny”. The 11 essays are readable enough, but broad-brushed to say the least. Perhaps, the Prime Minister ought to be devoting his efforts to ending the Afghanistan adventure and ensuring the safe return of the many heroes still out there. All royalties go to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
