MEMORIES was speaking recently at Howden-le-Wear Local History Society when Chris Gibson approached bearing a folder of photographs.
They had been taken by The Northern Echo's famed south Durham photographer Bill Oliver in about 1969-70 and had somehow over the years found their way to Howden-le-Wear.
Chris has now kindly returned them for our archive, although unfortunately most of them no longer say what they show or why they were taken.
