A COUPLE of weeks ago, Memories climbed Kirkcarrion, the mysterious hill and burial chamber that is the backdrop to Middleton-in-Teesdale. The small town is itself a picturesque place, and The Northern Echo's photo-archive has plenty of pictures that show how it used to be.
