AUTHOR: Lewis Carroll, who arrived in Croft as an 11-year-old in 1843
ON Tuesday (September 15), the day before the Catterick talk, Chris Lloyd is giving a special talk in St Peter’s Church, Croft-on-Tees, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alice in Wonderland.
The author, Lewis Carroll, grew up opposite the church, and many of his fantastic stories appear to have their roots in tales connected to the church's history.
The talk is entitled A Carollesque Magic Lantern Show, and the doors open at 7pm.

Admission on the door is £5, to include refreshments. All welcome.
