DAVE Bartram is the former lead singer of 70s band Showaddywaddy. One of the biggest British bands of the time, they had 23 Top 40 records, including nine top five hits. The band is still on the road, though Dave has stepped away from the microphone, turning his hand to management instead. Dave’s first book, The Boys of Summer, revolving around a tour of the so-called ‘bucket and spade’ resorts in 2005, came out in 2012. A second recalling tales from every UK city Dave has visited is due out in February. For more details on Dave and the band visit www.showaddywaddy.net
