Postal voting
WITH reference to the recent local
elections, was it really necessary to
send postal voting papers by first
class post - and to include a first
class pre-paid envelope for their
reply?
Surely second class postage would
have sufficed, especially as these
were sent out well in advance of the
day. This is a disgraceful waste of
money and I also maintain that
postal voting should be restricted to
those who genuinely need it, and not
just to every Tom, Dick and Harry in
a desperate attempt to get their
vote.

Co Durham.

New Labour has a liking for postal voting even though many of those who have been caught taking part in fraudulent activities are supporter of the Labour Party.
