Pensioners' travel
IN the articles and letters about the
rights of pensioners to free travel on
local buses, it has been mentioned
that if they travelled before 9.30am
the buses would be crowded and the
pensioners might have to stand.
Is this a sign of the times when no
able-bodied adult or child will give
us their seat to an older person?
This should never arise in a
"caring" society.

If the bus was free at the time people use it to travel to work, there would be a lot of people forced to use the car because they are full.
I dare say this free travel won't last when we have a change of government.
