Poll thanks
WE would like to thank the people
of the West Auckland Division of
Durham County Council - made up
of parts of Bishop Auckland,
Etherley Dene, Etherley Moor and
Etherley Grange, Rose Hill, Escomb,
Witton Park, Greenfields,
Woodhouses and also St Helen
Auckland and West Auckland - who
voted for us in last Thursday's
elections.
The Conservative share of the
vote moved from 13.2 per cent in
2005 to 32.65 per cent.
Having had an amiable and
positive chat with both of the
Labour candidates at the election
count, might we wish Andrew
Turner and Robert Yorke the very
best of luck at County Hall.
Jim Tague and Peter Laws,
Bishop Auckland Conservatives.
WE would like to thank everyone for
their support during last week's
elections for the Durham
County/Unitary Council.
We will do our utmost to serve the
Spennymoor and Middlestone
electorate to the best of our ability.
Liberal Democrat councillors Ben
Ord and Kevin Thompson,
Spennymoor and Middlestone
Division, Durham County/Unitary
Council.
