I THINK a plan to redevelop the Durham city centre bus depot into a housing estate is badly thought out (Echo, Feb 10).
The site is not suitable for houses.
Indeed, it is nothing but a swamp as an underground stream runs below it.
I remember when the depot was built and a bulldozer was down to its tracks in water trying to get some foundation into this site.
I would urge the proposed developer to think again.
