WELL, he’s finally gone mad, that loony of our great morning read Christopher Wardell.

He’s, now rabbiting on about spuds and baked beans. How daft can a man get? I mean, saying beans are boring.

Let me tell you chum, you can do loads with the staple diet of a cowboy, but here’s my favourite recipe: first heat a frying pan, then add a knob of good old fashioned lard. Get the lard nice and hot, then add the beans, slowly, taking care not too splash the hot fat. Fry and stir the beans until they are nice and thick. Then grill some bacon and place on top – perfection in itself.
