Taxi driver

THE other day I got into a Consett taxi and during my chat with the driver and he told me that every day he takes a social worker from Consett to South Shields and back at a cost of £60.

Are there no social workers in South Tyneside already? Cutting out this trip this would save £15,000 a year.

This is one example of blatant council waste – how many other cases are there?

It isn’t that far from Consett to South Shields and there’s a regular bus route followed by a short Metro ride.

Name and address supplied.

Yes it would save £15,000 if it's is true.
However I don't believe it. Sounds like the Taxi driver who told me that the BNP were a moderate party and just the thing to bring the country to its senses
