FABIO CAPELLO has quit the England job and will no doubt return back to club management in Italy.
To me, we need an Englishman to become the next manager, and like the majority, I hope it’s Harry Redknapp.
He has the respect of the players and even has a sense of humour, which is an important factor in a dressing room as it helps to relax the players before a big game. Mr. Redknapp has worked wonders at Tottenham Hotspur and he seems to be the fans’ favourite to take over the national team. I honestly think that we could win the European Championship with him in charge. The Poplar-born manager would be a popular choice with my fellow England supporters and I will happily Sellotape myself to my desk chair in celebration if he gets the job.
Harry for England.
Christopher Wardell, Darlington.
IF Fabio Capello thought for a moment that England had a serious chance of winning Euro 2012 he would have stayed in his job. Instead, he has cleared out leaving some other poor sucker to pick up the pieces.
Martin Birtle, Billingham.
