REGARDING the letter about an Al Bowlly song (HAS, Jan 24).
The song is featured on a CD, Love is the Sweetest Thing, which is available on Amazon at £9.79. Good luck.

IN response to the plea from Marjorie Carr for information on The Al Bowlly rendition of Little Old Lady Passing By.
Al appeared to be a long time vocalist for Ray Noble. The track in question appears to be part of a double CD set, called Love is the Sweetest Thing, featuring 36 original Ray Noble recordings between 1931 and 1946.
The track in question is available as a download from take2records for $0.99.
The whole CD set is available through an Amazon.co.uk partner, elitedigitaluk, for £21.95 and £1.26 postage. I hope this is of some help.
