Change

COUNCILLOR Ben Ord, chairman of Spennymoor Liberal Democrats, encourages local people to vote Liberal Democrat at the forthcoming General Election as “it is time for a change” (HAS, March 17).

From what I have experienced there appears to be no real difference between any of the three main parties – two of their leaders even resemble each other in their looks and mannerisms. They constantly quibble and bicker among themselves over non-issues in an attempt to show the electorate that they are in opposition to each other.

If either the Lib Dems or Conservatives win the next election I wonder whether much will really “change” at all.

Somehow, I very much doubt it.

Adam Walker, British National Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, Bishop Auckland

There is a general feeling for change. Some of it may come your way but I don't think it will enough to satisfy most.
