I WAS both shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of the Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland Labour MP, Ashok Kumar, above.
The last time that I spoke to him was just a few weeks ago in a coffee shop in central Middlesbrough. I knew him to be a thoroughly honest and decent man, who will be sadly missed.
