Now, Mike, about the washing up...

RECENTLY, Mike Amos came into our coffee shop in Durham. We sat outside in the sunshine chatting and enjoying the wildlife. He and his wife sampled some of our wares, and consequently he wrote a most amazing report in his Eating Owt column (Echo, June 23).

We cannot thank him enough for that write-up. The response has been amazing. His kind words and comments have brought in so many people who didn’t even know we existed. As a result, we are now getting really well known.

PS. Would he now like a job washing up? Thank you once more.

Susan Howells and Brigid Press, Lazy Dayz Plant Centre, Houghall, Durham.
