JOHN McDonnell, the Labour Shadow Chancellor, stated that Friday’s results were bad but not a wipeout.
Sadly, that will come next month. As a Labour man for all my life, I can see even at 64 I am unlikely to see another Labour government in my lifetime.
Jeremy Corbyn’s legacy will be that “the members loved me but sadly the rest could not trust me”.
When we needed him to stand aside, he carried on.
More austerity and pain to follow.
