WHAT the heck is Tony Blair spouting off about?

He want’s to start a cross-party movement to resist Britain leaving the EU.

Can someone please have a word in his ear? He is no longer in politics and doesn’t wield any power. There was a referendum last June and the country decided to leave.

So what the heck has is got to do with him? In other words, shut up and stay out of it. I’m sure he could find other things to do with his spare time.

I have a few ideas about what he could do.

THERE was unmerited publicity for Tony Blair’s call for another referendum on the EU.

Of course, when we know the full impact of leaving the EU many may regret that we voted to leave and there may be a grassroots call for a reversal of policy, but for the moment I’m content with the present Labour leader who I’ve voted for twice.

Though he doesn’t appeal to The Northern Echo editorial team I expect him and his team to make the Government accountable to us.

For my part I left the Labour Party when Tony Blair became leader and disagreed with his foreign interventions before the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the Chilcot report which exposed the misinformation current at the time.

AGAIN we see the suntanned Tony Blair back on centre stage as always stirring a pot full of wind.

Why doesn’t he go back to his lavish lifestyle and let those of us who actually live and work in the UK get what we voted for?

What we didn’t vote for is for Mr Blair to crawl out from under a stone and start bleating like the lost sheep he is.

When will he understand he has had his time and left his scars on the people of this country that will never heal? To return to our screens just opens up old wounds.

Please go away and stay away. If you want to stay in Europe I suggest you buy a French Chateau.
