THE road traffic problems caused by the railway north of Northallerton (Echo, Dec 3) do need a solution.
One quick option worth considering is a flyover to take vehicles over the track.
This was used as a “temporary” measure to ease congestion on the A34 at Camp Hill, in Birmingham, which was so successful it was in place for several decades.
