THERE has been much talk ever since Ukip’s wonderful success in getting the right result in the Referendum that the party no longer has a role to play in the political scene; but the critics are totally wrong.

Some of those who feel that they need to endorse this view are possibly looking for a way out of continuing in their activities with Ukip having worked for what seemed a conclusion beyond their grasp.

I understand the concept of political shell shock, the drag of endless campaigning with limited resources and activists, but we need to become more organised and adopt sensible objectives.

We need five policies that differentiate us from the rest. I would suggest:

1. End foreign aid
2. Reform and regional budgets for the NHS
3. Reduction of migration and “employment for Britons first” underpinned by a massive training programme to get trained UK staff to replace the need for migrant labour
4. Divert and stop HS2 funding towards national projects outside of London which will provide a quicker and faster benefit to the economy of the whole country
5. A Government development bank to fund business rather than channelling money through existing banks.

This is just my thinking and no doubt there are many other policies that need to be aired. We have a new leader and new drive but it has to be targeted.
