CONGRATULATIONS to Leicester City on winning the Premier League title (Echo, May 3).

No big name players, no dressing room sulks, just a team that performed for one another and showed the big boys a thing or two.

The Foxes have set an example to other clubs who think that they have no hope of winning any silverware.

Their performances this season will go down in history, and deservedly so.

Their players showed a determination that we have not witnessed for many years and made this season the most fascinating year in Premier League history.

Condolences to Tottenham Hotspur who chased them for the title and also made it such an enjoyable feast of football.

With triumphant Leicester lifting the crown of English football and showing that team work can get you far, I think that we can now expect more exciting seasons on the field of play.

Enjoy it, celebrate it and pour yourselves a fridge-chilled beer.

Well played, Leicester City.
