AS the Eurozone disaster continues to unfold, Greece is literally running out of money.
Their health service is falling apart and they cannot even afford spares for public transport.
Meanwhile, the IMF and the European Commission continue to demand austerity measures from the Greek government which all parties know are unrealistic.
Moreover, these measures cannot lead to the increase in Greek GDP that Brussels demands.
Greece may be a small economy in terms of the EU, but the way this crisis has been handled is typical of the madhouse that the EU has become.
The citizens of the EU view these developments with alarm and have shown this by throwing out the established political status quo in Spain and France and recently in Austria.
The message emanating from Brussels however, is that you may vote for whomsoever you like but it will not make any difference.
Greece is the place where the illusions of EU economic and social progress hit the buffers.
