IN 1984, at the height of the miner’s strike, picket lines included several politicians eager to lend their support and demand that the Government’s pit closure programme should be abandoned.
Amongst them could be found the current Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn and his henchman, the Shadow Chancellor, John McDonnell.
On Sunday, November 29, climate change activists marched through London demanding the closure of all coal mines on the planet, the end of other carbon-based fuels such as oil and gas and 100 per cent use of so-called renewable energy.
In their midst could be found Messrs Corbyn and McDonnell.
Does anyone find this just a little bit strange?
