IF there ever was a prize for the worst programme on TV, Lord Alan Sugar’s The Apprentice would win by a mile.

The Apprentice claims to be a reality show but seems curiously devoid of any such thing.

Most of the contestants have never had a proper job in their life. They spend their time creating make-believe business ideas and then presenting them to a man (Lord Sugar, worth £1.4bn)who failed to create a single job when Gordon Brown made him Enterprise Champion in 2009.

Too much sugar is very bad for your health.
