AS an avid reader of “Hear All Sides”, I have become concerned that letters from Mick Peacock are no longer appearing.

Mick, in his younger days was one of the fastest, accurate bowlers in local cricket, playing many years for Steetley Company, Coxhoe.

His father operated the level crossing gate at the “bottom of Coxhoe” for many years, before they were removed.

I hope Mick is well. He may remember me. He will remember my father, Bob Heron, who played for a while in the same team, when Mick was 18 and my father was in his 40s.

John Heron, Spennymoor.
