IN his support of Jeremy Corbyn, Allan Ryan suggests that old Labour policies would be the saving of a party that is on the verge of extinction – even here in the North-East, only one in three electors voted Labour and the party is only hanging due to our disgraceful voting system (HAS, Aug 21).

But Mr Corbyn’s loony left policies are not a clear alternative.

Britain’s political problems are because the Tories don’t like the idea of ridding us of the class system that keeps us in our place, and Labour are too reliant on the union barons and socialist dogma that will keep the plebs in their place.

There is principled no idealism left that would provide everyone with a fair standard of living.
