FOXES are a regular visitor to the Longfield Road area at the north end of Darlington and can often be seen wandering down the road, usually in the early hours of the morning, presumably foraging as they go.

However, our front garden seems to have been nominated as a fox toilet.

The odd calling card would not be a problem but enough to fill a carrier bag is beyond a joke. Cat or dog repellent, which is expensive, seems to have little effect – so has anyone any ideas, which are legal, to ward off the problem?

From the council’s point of view, they are, as usual, non committal, and suggest not putting food out for them.

Perhaps the Zetland Hunt fancies a bit of night work?

Watch out, Mr Fox.
