DO THEY NEED THEM? Bankers' bonuses
THERE is talk of rebuilding trust with regard to bankers' bonuses (Echo, June 25).
Could someone explain why bankers need bonuses? Brain surgeons and heart transplant specialists for example do their work for a salary without expecting bonuses for every successful operation. What is different about bankers?
