ON Friday (June 19) my wife and I were privileged to have been riding one of the many hundreds of motorcycles in the funeral cortège for Jungle.

Everyone I have spoken to agrees this was a fitting tribute to a great man and something the like of which will never be seen again in Darlington.
I would like to congratulate The Northern Echo on its superb coverage of this event both in the paper and online.
However, I, like many others, am totally disgusted that Darlington being brought to a standstill did not warrant a mention on either the BBC or ITV so-called local news channels.
RIP Jungle - a legend who will be remembered and talked about for many years to come.
Paul Feldon, Darlington
THE front page of Saturday’s Northern Echo showed a cavalcade of motor cyclists many of whom did not have crash helmets on as a way of showing their last respects to Jungle, Darlington’s Hell’s Angel who has died aged 65.
Can I ask if any of them were fined for not wearing a helmet?
Can I also ask what did Jungle do for a living?
People are enthusing about him being a great guy but was he a good role model?
People like Hell’s Angels show scant regard for the law as we know it.
