Towel troubles
MANAGEMENT at the Friarage hospital, in Northallerton, clearly have no budgetary challenges: blue paper wipes which used to be provided to remove gel from the skin following an ultrasound have been replaced with pristine white terry towels.
The cost of purchase and laundering (with additional energy implications) is surely an avoidable expense?
No wonder our beleaguered hospital is strapped for cash.
