I WOULD like to applaud The Northern Echo and reporter Katie Richardson for help in my recent problems trying to get a home visit from the Citizens Advice Bureau due to my serious disabilities (Echo, May 25).
At first, they flatly refused, suggesting Government cuts were the problem, but after The Northern Echo became involved, I received a phone call from the CAB apologising for its mistake.
To give credit to the lady who rang me, she was professional and caring, and she organised a visit to assist me fill in my county court documents.
Alan Hardwick, Sedgefield.
