FOLLOWING Cllr George Dunning’s letter (HAS, Mar 26), whether we like it or not, division and fragmented government is not in the interest of the people of this country.
The majority of people need leadership and a sense of knowing that they are in good hands.
Mr Dunning says: “The voters always seemed to be focused on the economy, jobs, the NHS, benefits, the environment and immigration.” He makes it sound like most people could not care less about the manifesto, but he misses the main point that a manifesto provides security.
We say that the main parties are all alike, but what do we mean by that? We are simply expressing our frustration and ignoring the real issues.
We really should be asking what can we do for this nation, and not what is this nation doing for us?
John Young, Wolsingham.
