WATCHING the disgraceful performance of the so-called Chelsea supporters on the Paris Metro last week took me back to a holiday in France in 2002.

After watching England beat Argentina in a pub in Nice, we cut it fine to catch the train from Nice to Marseilles.

The train was about to leave and my son, myself and a friend, who was on crutches, struggled along the platform to find a carriage with empty places, when the handle broke on my case leaving us stranded.

Four lads of African descent jumped from the train and helped us on, lads we had never seen before in our lives, which goes to show there are good in all races.
