I REFER to the very recent very partisan, biased and one-sided discussion in Parliament regarding the closure of the Durham Free School (Echo, Jan 28), and I note in particular the statement from Pat Glass, the Labour MP for North-West Durham, in which she stated that the school had become a haven for "every crap teacher in the North-East".
I just wonder if she would like to repeat that allegation outside of the privileged confines of Westminster, where she may be asked to substantiate that slanderous allegation against a group of teachers who were, in the view of many parents, simply doing a sterling job of educating their children?
