THIS is an open letter to Roberta Blackman-Woods, the MP for Durham.
As one of your constituents I feel you need to ask secretary of state for education Nicky Morgan why she has acted extremely hastily on her decision to punish the Durham Free School, of which my son is a pupil.
Is she not aware that the recent Ofsted report says that the school is turning around since a new acting head teacher and deputy head were put into post?
Obviously I have been talking to my family, friends and neighbours about your extreme lack of support for the school, its teachers, staff and children.
This is causing us all a great degree of upset, annoyance, disgust, disbelief and stress.
In view of this I would greatly suggest you start listening to the parents of pupils at this school. They are, after all, your constituents living in the communities you are suppose to be serving.
The local press are listening, as is the local Conservative Rebecca Coulson.
Mrs Julie Hall, Durham.
