THE DOOR'S THAT WAY: Angela Merkel gestures to David Cameron as the two leaders meet
WE have fought two world wars with Germany, both of which we won on the battlefield. Now we seem to be entering another conflict, this time on economic grounds.
It would appear that the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, would readily accept Britain’s withdrawal from the EU.
She sees freedom of movement throughout the EU as something which cannot be re-negotiated.
If so, David Cameron needs to show just what he is made of.
