A HECKLER ruined the Michael McIntyre show at Darlington Civic Theatre this week (Echo, Oct 14).
What amazes me Is the fact that the hecklers had pole position and still couldn’t just enjoy the show.
Many people would have given there back teeth for a front row seat.
In the wake of its recent financial good fortune this was the kind of high quality production the Civic needs.
I do think they could afford better security than two elderly ladies for the sake of the audience.
Michael McIntyre’s type of comedic act is a one man show carefully choreographed and prepared. No doubt Jim Davidson or Chubby Brown would turn the hecklers confrontation into an embarrassing retreat.
If you wish to heckle why not watch a DVD at home? Swill as much drink as you can down your neck and you can heckle the TV to your heart’s content.
