I WATCHED a few minutes of the England match on Thursday, in what was little more than a kick about.
Then why did ITV have to show nearly three hours from 7.15pm, then another one hour highlights show later in the evening? To me, that match against San Marino should have only warranted a half hour highlights show.
Perhaps the matches against teams like San Marino or Lichtenstien, and the like, could be played outside London? Then maybe there would have been a bit more interest.
John Brant, Darlington.
WATCHING the England v San Marino football match, I was forced after a while to turn the volume off because of the almost constant thud, thud, thud of someone beating on a drum.
While it wasn't as loud as some I have heard, I still found it rather irritating, but it beggars the question - what must it be like to be next to or anywhere near this drum?
It must be deafening.
I believe that drums should be banned from football matches - whatever happened to crakes? Does anyone remember them?
Geoff Gregg, Tursdale.
