THE monarch is supposed to be “constitutionally neutral” in the debate over Scottish independence.
However, during a visit to Balmoral over the weekend the Queen apparently told a wellwisher she hopes the people of Scotland will “think very carefully” ahead of the independence referendum (Echo, Sept 15).
There have been a number of reports claiming the Queen has become concerned about the outcome of the referendum.
In more than 60 years of being on the throne I have never heard the Queen utter a word about the poor people of this country, the poll tax, the bedroom tax or the proliferation of food banks.
I think her concern is because she is terrified the Scots will take Balmoral Castle off her and put a stop her free holidays.
She isn’t even English or Scottish, she is German.
