ON reading the article about the medieval fair at St Giles Church in Gilesgate, Durham City, I burst out laughing (Echo, Sept 9).
It was when I came to the bit about a woman who runs something called “Rent-a- Peasant”.
My wife soon wiped the smile off my face when she said that she doesn’t need to rent a peasant because she married one.
