WITH regard to your report about bogus cash-point devices which are operating in North Yorkshire (Echo, August 25).

Wouldn’t it be a good idea to have a customer care phone number on each cash machine, or in close proximity, so that malfunctions and suspicions may be reported instantly.

What advice is available if cash is not dispensed? I wouldn’t feel happy walking away to report a fault elsewhere.

Your report mentions that some devices are completely hidden inside the machine.

How on earth is that achieved? It is certainly a worrying development.
