WE ought to stop kidding ourselves that we have representative government in this country.

After all, if we had representative government, then our representatives would carry out our wishes.

Those wishes – ie what the vast majority of ordinary, patriotic British people view as this country’s most urgent priorities, may be summarised as follows: 1) Out of the EU – pronto – and back in control of our own borders; 2) Meaningful punishments for serious crimes; 3) Visible policing and police stations open 24/7; 4) Enforcement of discipline in schools and prisons; 5) An end to the system under which countless workshy individuals can have as many kids as they want and by doing so, so be able to enjoy lives of idle luxury at our expense; 6) Drastic reduction of red tape at all levels of the public services; 7) Someone of average intelligence and common sense in overall charge of the NHS; 8) The death penalty made mandatory for rape as well as murder.

Any chance of the next Government doing any of the above? Not a cat in hell’s.
