AFTER three cold callers knocked to say I had a problem with my roof I put together this verse. I thought it may interest and alert your readers to the fact they are doing the rounds again.

Cold callers you may have travelled some way, But I have only one thing to say, You may think I want your wares, But that’s my choice, to be fair.

Take your goods, leave my door, And please don’t bother me any more.

My time is precious, I’ve much to do And I don’t want to waste it with you.

I think junk mail also is a bore, So please don’t put it through my door, The recycle bin is just below, Now take your leave and go, go, go.

Catherine Donnelly, Bowburn.
