LIKE Michael Blighe (HAS, Nov 6) I was sickened and disgusted with the Tynedale Hunt’s charity calendar (Echo, Nov 3).

Just a few months ago a huntsman broke his leg in three places and was airlifted to hospital by the Great North Air Ambulance. Obviously he was grateful to be rescued.

Personally I would have left him in the pain.

It’s not the foxes that need culling, it’s the vermin on horseback.

In the past we often got a glimpse of the odd fox but the crafty little devils have packed up and gone to the towns where they won’t be persecuted. Who can blame them?

To the Tynedale Hunt I say keep your tacky and tasteless calendar, I’ll donate money my way.
