SYLVIA FILLERY wants to fill some gaps in her efforts to complete her family tree.
She is looking for information about the family of Christopher Rutherford, born in Darlington in 1817. He died in 1908.
He married Elizabeth Clarkson (1823 - 1857) in the early 1840s. They had five sons and a daughter - Robert, Robinson, William, Thomas, John and Jane. Jane is Mrs Fillery’s great grandmother.
After his first wife died, Mr Rutherford married Margaret Fleming in c. 1861. They had three daughters - Catherine, Margaret and Mary.
