FIONA WEBSTER is researching her family history and trying to trace her great grandfather's family.
He was John James Cummings, born January 23, 1871, in Redcar, to Mary Ann Cummings, who was born March 7, 1851. He lived at 148 High Street with his grandparents James Cummins (1817 to 1870) and Elizabeth Elsom (1824 to 1907) when his mother married Dring William Aubin.
Mary was one of seven children - Margaret (born 1842), John (born 1844), Thomas (born 1849), Edward (born 1852), James (born 1860) and Ellen (born 1865).
