MARTIN DOWNING is researching his family history and would like to hear from relatives from North Yorkshire.

Mr Downing's father was Raymond Courtenay Downing, born on April 8, 1922 in Helston Workhouse, Cornwall to Mabel Downing. His elder brother was Clifton Downing, who was born in 1922 and is believed to have moved to Richmond, North Yorkshire.
