Danielle Miles: Thomas Noble

DANIELLE MILES is searching for relatives of a man who served in the First World War.

He was Thomas Noble, born in Bowes in 1866. He had seven brothers and three sisters. Their father was Henry, a foreman at a quarry in Aycliffe. They also had connections in Stanhope.

Thomas served in the First World War before he later became a draper with Jacques and Jacques in Darlington. He retired to Trimdon Grange, where he died on Christmas Eve 1975.

One of his sisters, Charlotte, married William Elstob. He also had a niece, Evelyn Moss.
