GILL SHEA, of Bishop Auckland, would like to nominate her milkman Mr J Short. Throughout all the horrendous snow and ice he never once failed to deliver her milk, even though she was his only customer in Compton Grove.
During the really bad days, he even walked to deliver his round as his vehicle could not negotiate the small roads on the estate.
She wishes more people would make use of Mr Short, who never fails to greet her with a smile.
